Questions:

  1. In what ways could the end of net neutrality change the Internet?
  2. Who benefits from the repeal of the FCC’s net neutrality regulations?

  • 1. In what ways could the end of net neutrality change the internet.
The end of net neutrality will change the internet in many ways, it makes it to where not all siocial media apps, music apps, and all other internet based programs are free. They can now charge you for using there program. Also without rules prohibiting paid prioritaztion all large companies and any rich people will have the fast lane leaving most of us with the slow lane.

    2. Who benefits from the repeal of the FCC’s net neutrality regulations?
All the internet service providers. They will be able to charge an additional fee to have your network work faster. They will be able to charge us for using the internet.

  • 1. The ways net neutrality can change the internet is internet services/providers cannot charge extra for getting data to phones, computers, etcs. ISP’s will be able to charge customers more,ISP’s will become virtual monopolies, and internet speeds will slow down.
    2. ISP’s such as verizon, at@t, comcast, common carriers, etc will benefit from net neutrality regulations.

  • 1. More and more people have realized that having an open internet is extremely important, and with net neutrality ending it can cause companies like Comcast or At&t to charge for certain programs like Instagram, Facebook or Netflix. This can cause people to stop using those programs

    2. Because companies like Netflix have a lot of money they can use it to negotiate deals with the service providers and get a leg up on the competition and of course internet service providers will benefit because they will now get to charge people for fast speed internet.

  • 1. In what way could the end of net neutrality change the internet?
Without net neutrality the consumers might end-up paying more to have access at the internet websites that customers might want to view. Internet service providers may soon be able to block viewings and slow down some programs. Customers might only have a limited data plan, and household who go over the limited plan will have to pay an additional fee.

    2. Who benefit from the repeal of the FCC net neutrality regulations?
    Netflix, facebook, Google, You-tube,and intragram.

  • 1. Internet Service Providers could control the speed at which certain websites upload,Charge for the use of higher speeds on affected programs, and would increase how much companies that use large amounts of bandwidth are charged.
2.Internet Service Providers due to increased control of their bandwidth and traffic and while they may get charged more due to the end of net neutrality currently popular websites also benefit due to the decreased discover ability in this new environment (As new online companies that use large amount of bandwidth would get charged far more then another one that uses less. So starting a company that uses as much bandwidth as Facebook would be extremely difficult due to this)
